Clio Berta is an artist, composer and event producer currently living and working in Midcoast Maine.
She combines movement, material, paint, projected video and music to construct otherworldly realms that blur the line between magic and reality. She works with her immediate community to host multi sensory events that center around concepts like cycles, esotericism and relativity.
Clio graduated from Massachusetts College of Art and Design with a BFA in Interrelated Media in 2017 after studying abroad at the Burren College of Art and participating in selected courses at Berklee College of Music. She has been an artist in residence at Studio Kura in Itoshima, Japan, the Stillness Project in Jefferson, Maine and the Fish Factory in Stöðvarfjörður, Iceland.
She has directed and produced collaborative multimedia events in public parks, galleries, vacant storefronts and her own backyard. She has composed scores for a diverse range of short films, published and merchandised an oracle card deck and thrown a series of multi sensory raves.
In 2023, Clio co-founded Wishbone Coffee, a coffee pop up business. She is currently co-hosting embodied dance gatherings, working as the Special Events Coordinator for the Camden International Film Festival and touring her most recent musical project, Wild Cherry Doubler.
